Benton & Franklin Counties Superior Court
Local Rule 94.05W - Mandatory Parenting Seminar

If your custody case is subject to the provisions of Local Court Rule 94.05 W, then you must attend a mandatory parenting seminar.  The seminar is a four-hour class designed to inform you about the impact of divorce on your children, what type of reaction you may expect them to have based upon their age, and how you can help your child(ren) through your divorce.  The court encourages you to attend a class as soon as possible, to minimize the impact to your children.

Safe Harbor Support center is approved by the Superior Court to provide mandatory parenting seminars.

Class Information

Class format:

  • Class is held live via a zoom call every 3rd Thursday of the month from 5:30pm-9:30pm

  • Pre-registration is required at least 48 hours prior to class date.

  • Payment due at least 24 hours before class begins.

  • After registration is complete, our instructor will send you a PayPal invoice so that you may safely and securely pay your class fee with a credit/debit card.

  • If you are unable to attend your confirmed class, please let the instructor know as soon as possible via email. If you cancel more than 24 hours prior to the class, you will receive a full refund.

  • Cancelation less than 24 hours prior to the class will forfeit class fee.

All agencies follow the Washingtons Superior Court's sliding scale fee chart.  Based on your income, your fee will be:

OPTIONAL INFORMATION

Do you make less than $3000.00 a month before taxes and deductions?

If so, you qualify for a reduced class fee (according to the sliding scale fee to the right). To apply reduced fee, please upload a copy of your most recent paystub to the right.

Unemployed?

If so, you qualify for a reduced class fee ($25).  In order to apply this rate, you must go to the court your case is filed with, and ask the clerk for a "financial waiver" for the "4 hour parenting seminar".  You will then submit that paperwork in lieu of a paystub.
