C.A.R.E.S.
Cultivating Adaptability & Resilience
through Emotional Self-Regulation
WHEN BEHAVIOR FEELS HARD
Start with what the behavior
may be communicating
C.A.R.E.S. helps families understand the effects of trauma and stress, strengthen emotional regulation, and build a more positive family dynamic at home and at school.
Two connected components
Children learn skills. Caregivers learn how to reinforce them.
The parent and youth experiences are designed to work together so families can use the same language and strategies in difficult moments.
FOR CAREGIVERS
More Confidence. Less Conflict.
Caregivers learn about trauma, brain development, behavior, and positive parenting strategies that support a child's emotional, social, and academic growth.
Understand triggers and behavior patterns
Practice attentive, positive parenting
Set healthy boundaries and reduce conflict
Support skills children practice in the youth component
